Three sisters opened Bluebird in 2018. We cook with locally sourced ingredients and prepare every dish by hand.
There is a fireplace for winter, mountain views all year, and room for the whole family to take their time.

Bluebird Café is at Farm 1166 on Broadway Boulevard (the R44), Stellenbosch, 7603, next to Jamestown. It is on the R44 between Stellenbosch and Somerset West: about 7 km from Stellenbosch town centre and about 12 km from Somerset West.
We are open Tuesday to Sunday from 08:00 to 16:00, and closed on Mondays. Breakfast is served until 13:00 and lunch from 12:00 to 15:30.
Breakfast is served from 08:00 until 13:00, Tuesday to Sunday. The menu runs from a croissant with fruit jam (R50) and French toast (R100) to shakshuka, eggs Benedict, a farmer's omelette and the full Bluebird breakfast (R160).
Yes. There is a secure outdoor playground, and a kids menu for children up to 12 with meals from R35 to R90.
Lunch is served from 12:00 to 15:30: quiches, pies, salads, wraps, savoury and sweet pannekoek, burgers and chips, beer-battered fish and chips, and beef fillet. Dishes cost between R55 and R260, with several vegetarian options.
Yes, all day. Cakes include baked cheesecake, carrot cake, orange and almond cake and apple crumble tart, from R75 to R95, subject to availability. In winter there is a fireplace inside.
Walk-ins are welcome, and we take reservations on 021 205 7120 or bookings@bluebirdcafe.co.za. High Tea is by reservation only, with at least 24 hours notice.
